About
Ada Deniz is a contemporary landscape painter working in oil and acrylic in a studio in a coastal town.
I paint landscapes that carry memory, light and a sense of belonging. In my studio I explore how coastal light intertwines with water and memory.
My paintings begin with thin, transparent layers, followed by dense paint in broad brushstrokes. I don't depict specific places: I'm after a feeling in which familiar forms soften and you are held inside a single moment.
Each work is made to be lived with and to bring calm to the space it hangs in.
